Wallpaper, Lasso Tool and Quick Selection Tool

will create wallpaper about Hot Air Balloon in Putrajaya.
I choose Hot Air Balloon because I like balloons. I like to see smallest balloons  to bigger, like this hot air balloon. I came to this festival with my friends, and see the fireworks at night.
Now, I will arrange all picture that I have to be wallpaper, here we go :)

First, open file ballon and fireworks,

Move the ballon into fireworks. Arrange together, name the new layer, named "balloon"

Duplicate layer balloon, and change the name, "quick selection tool". Then use quick selection tool, and select the building that want to be deleted. And then back to balloon layer, and press delete from keyboard, and deselect.

Now, fireworks look more beautiful without the cover of buildings

Wallpaper, Brush and Levels

Make new layer, named brush. I want to make the picture darker, Like night day. I use brush tool, with hardness 0%.

Brush the light area. Make it darker

After that, I want to make the balloons be lighter. Because in night, we can see the light from balloon. I use "levels" to make it lighter. Click layer-new adjustment-levels.

I make balloons be lighter one by one. So, change the layer's name be balloon 1, balloon 2 until balloon 8.

Finish make it be darker and balloons be lighter

Wallpaper, Type

Now, we will create font. Type "Hot Balloon Air". Use white color because the background is black.

Change the text use warp text.

After that, type "Fiesta 2010", do same like that.

And then, we use brush tool to create stars.

Put stars behind "Fiesta 2010"

Now, I will change the paper size to be A4
First, back to background layer then click right, flatten image. And then the image will be group all together.

Create new work paper, A4 size.
Move the wallpaper to A4 size. Fit them be like this.

Oke finish :) My wallpaper already done. I'm sorry if there are something wrong in my work.

FESTIVAL

I choose Hot balloon Festival in Putrajaya, last march 2010 for my wallpaper. Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2010 was the 2nd Balloon Festival held in Malaysia from the 19th to 21st March and the turn out was amazing over the weekend. People from all walks of life and from all over drove down to witness this amazing balloon show in Putrajaya with 23 hot air balloons participating from around the world. Fortunately for me, it was a coincidence that I was visiting Putrajaya for the weekend and took the opportunity to visit the Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2010.

The Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2010 at Purtajaya was indeed a success as over a 100,000 people came to watch the balloons over the weekend. The main highlight was the unique shaped hot air balloons like the Darth Vader Hot Air Balloon and a pair of Levis Jeans Balloon which the crowd absolutely loved. It was really and eye opener for most people when they witnessed these unique odd shaped hot air balloons in Putrajaya this year around.

PHOTOSHOP

Adobe Photoshop is a professional image editing software package that can be used by experts and novices alike. While this handout offers some very basic tips on using the tools available in Photoshop, more comprehensive guidance can be accessed on the web or in the help menu of your version of Photoshop.

TOOLS

SELECTION TOOLS

The selection tools are used to facilitate the process of making selections of shapes, colors, and objects inside of Photoshop, and positioning them in the working image area. With tools like the magnetic lasso and magic wand, Photoshop packs a powerful array of selection gadgets!

There are a variety of tools to help you draw out specific sizes and shapes of selections in Photoshop.

Marquee Tools

The marquee tools are used to make rectangular, elliptical, horizontal and vertical line selections. To create a selection with a marquee tool, simple hold down your mouse button over the active image area, and drag out your shape.

Perfect Circle and Square Selections

When making selections with the Rectangular Marquee Tool or Elliptical Marquee Tool, it’s possible to make perfect square and circular selections by holding shift when drawing our your selection.

Lasso Tools

The Lasso Selection Tools allow you to make selections of irregular shapes. Using the ordinary lasso tool, simply click and drag a freehand selection with your mouse. With the Polygonal Lasso Tool, click to make various points which will define a selection, and finish your selection by clicking the starting point.
The Magnetic Lasso Tool sort of combines the first two tools mentioned here. You click once, and begin to drag a freehand selection around the object you wish to select. The magnetic lasso tool tries to automatically create points itself while you follow the edge of your object (you can define points by clicking if needed). The end result is a much smoother selection than the polygonal lasso tool will make.

Magic Wand Tool

The Magic Wand Tool is unlike the rest of the selection tools, in that is selects areas based on color. To use the Magic Wand Tool, you simply point and click the color you want to select in the active image area.
Take the diagram below for example. Using the Magic Wand Tool, it simply takes one click in the white area to make a selection of that space.
